Heres a short acoustic set from none other than Clutch's Neil Fallon recorded at a pub in northern Ireland. What you get his Neil and an acoustic guitar playing mostly roots blues music and a bar full of rude drunks who talk through every song. I hope he does more shows like this in the future.
Throttlerod started as an awesome stoner/southern rock band and morphed into this weird noiserock experimental indie bullshit WHICH I HATE. But somewhere inbetween they decided to try a little something different and go the Alice In Chains route and release a mostly acoustic E.P. of low key, moody, different kind of material. It still rocks, especally the brooding, grungy title track which builds and builds until it reaches an awesome climax. I wish I could say as much for thier latest release but thats another story altogether.
Cannabis Corpse - The Weeding E.P. (2009)
While obviously a joke band, not only are these fellas halarious but they can actually play thier insturments well. Take it for what it is but if you wanna rock out 80s style and laugh while youre doing it you cant go wrong with this.
Canada's best new rock band returns with this monolith of a record. A little less poppy than the last one with some NWOBHM influence and a splash of Rush thrown in for good measure. I've been waiting for this one and so far it sounds awesome.

Totally classic hardcore punk. I've been listening to this one alot on vinyl lately. Still sounds as fresh as ever.
I love authentic country, I'll gladly admit it, and so far I haven't gotten any complaints for it. This is the last thing Waylon Jennings ever recorded. Using his son Shooter's awesome band The .357s as a backing band he recorded this 8 song monster, most of which are reworkings of classic Waylon songs. The .357s breathe new life into a few of Waylon's more hard rocking songs as well as totally and brilliantly reinvent Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out Of Hand into the meloncholy, brooding Outlaw Shit. I think it's a great tribute and testament to his awesome work.
The Sword - Gods Of The Earth (2008)
Although part of the whole NWOBHM thing, Witchfinder General definately had a huge influence on what would become known as doom metal. Highly influenced by Black Sabbath and the like, this is the real deal, and one of the coolest album covers ever.
So I've heard these fellas described as The Village People of hard rock. It was fitting only this has a decidedly more European flair, they certainly are flamboyant motherfuckers. But fuck does this cd ever rock like a bastard.

First Iron Maiden rekkid I ever got. Great memories listening to it. Definately one of my all time favorites.
Should have posted this a while ago. What can I say that hasn't been said thousands of times before? Black Sabbath are the masters of all that is metal.
Brand new music from Jello Biafra. I'm glad this guy is back to tell it like it is. It is definately in the genre of hardcore. To my ears it sounds like his old band Dead Kennedys on meth.
Some seriously quality songs here. It gets a little heavy on the filler towards the end but the early songs, especially the ones with the original lineup are just as good as anything Danzig put out in the early days.
