The Drive-By Truckers ride the fine line between southern rock and country. The songs on The Dirty South tell great stories and some of the songs rock fuckin' hard with a wall of guitars sound. All the songs take place in different times and eras but they all tell stories of hardships and folklore of hardworking southern people.
